Cleveland Shomrim Patrol is a volunteer community safety organization ensuring the safety and well-being of the Jewish community of Greater Cleveland.
Cleveland Shomrim Patrol was founded to assist community members in any way possible, to help combat crime and improve the quality of life of our neighborhoods. Our team of well-trained volunteers is dedicated to protecting the community and responding to incidents involving criminal activity, missing persons, and emergencies of all kinds.
We work in full coordination with local law enforcement and are committed to responding with professionalism, discretion, and care in every situation.
Shomrim — meaning "guardians" or "watchmen" in Hebrew — is a proven model of community safety patrol used by Jewish communities across North America. We bring that same framework to Greater Cleveland.
Rapid mobilization for missing persons including children, dementia patients, and special-needs individuals. Coordinated with law enforcement at every step.
Trained responders for domestic emergencies. We de-escalate situations and connect families with resources — always discreet, always professional.
Day and night, our volunteers monitor the neighborhoods, deter criminal activity, and respond to community concerns before they escalate.
Working with local police to identify threats, retrieve security footage, and assist in the apprehension of individuals responsible for criminal activity.
Responding to severe weather, flooding, power outages, and other emergencies. We provide resources and assistance to community members in need.
Dedicated patrol coverage during Shabbos and Jewish holidays, ensuring community members can observe safely and with complete peace of mind.
Join our dedicated team and help keep our community safe. No law enforcement background required — just commitment, sound judgment, and a genuine desire to serve.
